Why is Today Special?
As each morning comes, it is an opportunity for a new adventure!
I can't tell you how happy I am, in the early morning hours. Everything is fresh and new. Right now, we have lots of snow on the property. The sun has just risen and everything is quiet.
I plan to clean. . . and sew . . . and bake brownies. . . I will listen to the chatter of my three teenagers and talk on the phone with my two adult children. I can't wait to start this very special day.
Why is it special? Only because I decided it will be.
There is too much pain in the world and too many trials. We have good moments and bad ones. Life is like a roller coaster, but the bad always passes away. This gives us an opportunity for those cherished happy times.
Today will be one of those happy times. And I will make every effort to be cheerful and patient and focused on the family - rather than self.
This afternoon, I will take a long tea break and have a special treat while reading or watching an old program on the television.
May your day be blessed with rainbows and cheer!
Blessings
